How K-12 Education System works in Belgium

K-12 i.e. 12 year of school education starts in a child's life by the time he/she attains 5/6 years of age. Pre-primary education is not compulsory but there are many Kindergartens to prepare small kids for elementary education. In cities and major towns often children attend pre-school before moving to formal school. For teaching of Classes 1 to 12 there are both type of school i.e. Schools administered by Ministry of Education and International schools.
